Synchronised swimming selfportray

"The Synchonized swimming selfportray takes into account the recurring metonymy: legs signify woman. Nevertheless THE woman does not exist and it is always typologies that are being quoted and copied. A double self portrait? Yet the two pairs of legs are not identical, and the colour is not one of verisimilitude. The trickery is always visible and even if the work has been finished with great care, the gap does indeed come from this “tuning” effect that the Cellule’s sculptures have. A form of fetishism for the finished that generates space."
